Weapons of Our War - Part II
By Dennis Bracy
The Word of God is a very
powerful weapon, Hebrews 4:12 literally says
it is even sharper than a double-edged sword. I believe that one
of the
reasons it is so very powerful is because it releases Truth in its' most
pure form. Any time you come against the enemy, it is wise to
combat a
demonic spirit in its' opposing form. In other words, fight a
spirit of
hate with love, a spirit of greed with giving, and so on. Also,
remember
that every demonic spirit uses lies and twisted truth as the ground work
for its' so called rights. Anytime you bring in Gods' word you are
undoing demonic ground work right off the bat. Where there is no
stable
foundation it is hard for the enemy to maintain his balance.
The written word of God in Hebrew is called, "logos".
Gods' written
word is truth at its purest form. Pure truth is also pure light.
John
3:21 says that whoever lives in truth comes into the light. If you
strike a match in a completely dark room, the darkness runs away from
the
light as it penetrates into the atmosphere. Light exposes to our
eyes
what could previously not be seen. It is parallel to the spirit
realm.
Once we are able to see our enemies attack more clearly, then we will
also see more clearly how to proceed in our attack.
Often when the enemy brings temptation my way, I've realized that if I
speak Gods' word, {truth/light} out loud into the air it does 3 things.
(1) It lets the enemy know that I am aware of who I really am in Christ
in spite of what he wants me to believe.
(2) Releases light in Satan's' direction which exposes him.
(3) Strengthens my inner man as my ears outwardly hear the sound of
truth.
The spoken word of God in Hebrew is called, "Rhema". The
spoken Word of
God is a word in which He will speak to us that will directly relate to
our given circumstances.
I believe also that a Logos (written) word can become a Rhema word if it
comes alive for a specific situation. Often, this word may come
for
purposes of healing in our lives, through a word of knowledge but is a
devastating blow to the enemy when you given a Rhema word to do war by.
There could be a situation where you simply don't know what to do, you
realize that the enemy is at work, yet you are not quite sure how this
situation relates scripturally. I know someone that was trying to
cast a
demon out for some time with no success. He'd been successful in
the
past but after trying every I command you satan in Jesus name to leave
in
the book was stumped. Finally and tiredly, He said, "now what
Lord," and
God gave him a Rhema word and told him to tell the demon, "out now
buddy." Well, with nothing to lose he went in and said,
"out now buddy,"
and the demon left.
So you see, we must learn to depend on God even above what we think we
know. There are no formulas, we must become utterly dependent on
listening to God for all of our success. It is vital, that we
remember
that God will never, ever, speak a word to us that contradicts His
already written word. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
Shalom,
